L'espacement des plantes est basé sur la largeur ultime des plantes. Ce chiffre est normalement donné sous forme de fourchette; par exemple, 3-5'. Il est recommandé d'utiliser le plus grand nombre lors du calcul de la distance à partir d'un bâtiment ou d'une structure. Description Brillant, large et chamois sont les trois mots que nous utiliserions pour décrire l'hosta «Frère Stefan»! Les feuilles vertes plissées sont éclaboussées de panachures dorées au centre. Les couleurs sont atténuées au printemps, mais brillantes en été. Les feuilles massives forment un large monticule, ce qui en fait le point central du jardin ombragé. Les feuilles épaisses et fortement ondulées sont suffisamment chamoisées pour résister aux ravageurs courants du jardin, comme les limaces. Avons-nous mentionné à quel point il est facile de grandir ? Cette vivace à l'ombre élégante est étonnamment durable.
