L'espacement des plantes est basé sur la largeur ultime des plantes. Ce chiffre est normalement donné sous forme de fourchette; par exemple, 3-5'. Si vous vivez dans un climat froid et/ou souhaitez que les plantes se remplissent plus rapidement, prévoyez un espacement à l'extrémité la plus courte de la plage. Si vous vivez dans un climat chaud, avez un budget limité ou êtes prêt à attendre plus longtemps que les plantes se touchent, utilisez le haut de gamme. Il est recommandé d'utiliser le plus grand nombre lors du calcul de la distance à partir d'un bâtiment ou d'une structure. Il n'y a vraiment pas d'"espacement maximum": si vous ne voulez pas que vos plantes se touchent, vous pouvez les espacer autant que vous le souhaitez. Tous les espacements des plantes sont calculés au centre, ou en d'autres termes, les centres des plantes sont espacés de la moitié de leur largeur éventuelle :

Description 'Goldsturm' Susan aux yeux noirs (Rudbeckia) est une plante vivace populaire pour apporter des couleurs éclatantes tard dans la saison, juste au moment où on en a le plus besoin ! Des pétales dorés en forme de rayons entourent un cône central noir proéminent. Des centaines de fleurs gaies fleurissent à la fin de l'été et flottent au-dessus du feuillage vert foncé. Une fois établis, ils accueillent la chaleur estivale avec grâce. Ils sont extrêmement tolérants à la sécheresse et fleurissent longtemps, ce qui en fait de superbes compagnons pour les échinacées parfumées et les sedums résistants à la sécheresse !
